In between the performances above, over the course of the 3 hour exhibition I gave a solo durational performance (see photos below, and the start of the video below). Sat on a wooden chair, I alternated presenting myself as a natural object, without adjustment, and as a performing, deliberately manipulated figure that played on images of self-inspection and reflection. When visitors approached, I engaged them in conversation with questions: “What do you see?” “Why is it there?”
